Beat Connection is the electro-pop duo of Jordan Koplowitz and Reed Juenger from Seattle who released their eight-track EP, Surf Noir, in February of this year. The songs pleasantly remind me of offerings from Cut Copy and Miike Snow in a sense that it they are chill-friendly dance music. The vocals for the two songs below come from their friend Tom Eddy. Surf Noir has quite an impressive range which includes steel drums, woodblock, claps, maracas, and tambourines to help take their sound past the traditional electro-pop. It will be interesting to see the direction these two take in their next offering.
