We Sweat Your Shirt. That’s the motto of Berlin, Germany’s synth pop duo SWEATSHIRT whose unified goal seems to get your body moving into perspiration. This is a one month old band made up of producer and composer Eric Crusher with singer and songwriter Chloe Berlin. The two have created something beautiful in their first release, Unicorn, a soft yet danceable romance song that begins slowly with a tone reminiscent of DeVotchKa’s How It Ends. Chloe’s beautiful voice joyfully echoes her simply crafted yet highly refined lyrics furthering the evocative emotion created by Crusher’s track. Unicorn is a solid and positive song to round out the summer as we eagerly wait to see what kind of sweat drips next.
