What the f*#? have I just watched? The Chickening is a one-of-a-kind mashup homage to director Stanley Kubrick's most iconic movie – The Shining. It comes with so much creative force that you'll find it hard not to be hit by it, even more so if you are a fan of the original movie as I am.

I hate to be late with posting the good stuff. So usually I don't even bother re-posting things here on WITNESS THIS that have been covered by the creative lead media already weeks ago. This time I have to make an exception although our colleagues at 'The Creator's Project' were faster. It's just because Tame Impala's new music video is easily one of the best I've seen in years.

'ENDLESS' is an elegant CGI motion piece that caught my attention this week. It's actually a music video for an Argentinian band called Anybody There. What is remarkable about these guys is that the band's members work from different cities, and exchange their thoughts and material only via internet.

In a fantastic experimental short, Art Director Kouhei Nakama explores the evolution of mankind. He tries to answer the question how humans would look like if they had textured skin, just like animals or insects.

VFX supervisor Julius Horsthuis is intrigued by fractal geometry. Fractals are a phenomenon of repeating mathematical patterns occurring everywhere in nature. It is also known as 'expanding symmetry' because it essentially means that the pattern repeats itself regardless of the scale.

KINOPRAVDA from Barcelona, Spain, are a crew of filmmakers who provided the music video for Yvein Monq's song 'TWUN'. This one is fresh and witty, and made me smile in the office.

Ziye Liu is a 3D and visual FX artist. Liu's short clip 'Themes & Variations' picks up a meta-art approach. Inspired by classic works of Yayoi Kusama and Ai Weiwei Liu uses CGI to transform the famous installation artists' existing works into something new.

Johann Sebastian Bach's The Well-Tempered Clavier is a collection of solo keyboard music dating back to 1722. Bach wrote it for educational purposes, "for the profit and use of musical youth desirous of learning." Fast forward to 2015, and here we are with a witty and incredibly beautiful, otherworldly reproduction of the great master's œuvre that will benefit not only the musical youth but pretty much everyone with an eye for beauty.

Star director/photographer Rankin is well known in the scene for his fashion aesthetics. He recently teamed up with ad agency TBWA London to deliver an online/cinematic ad for adult retailer Coco de Mer. This piece is causing quite some ripples on the web—and that's not only because it's about sex.
