The surf community up in Nova Scotia would like to say “we just put on a bitchin’ film fest for the fun of it, we still definitely don’t have waves up here, so don’t come up.” Seriously though, Drift’s own Ricardo Salcedo and crew put on one hell of an event–read on for a breakdown of the winners, plus we’ve got the winning short film.
Cyrus Sutton and Ryan Burch’s “Stoked and Broke” took best film honors (no surprises there). Recent web favorite “Dark Side of the Lens” by British water photog Mickey Smith won best international short, while locals Nico Manos and Julian Crick went home with award for best Canadian short–check it out below, it’s pretty funny.
