Spomenik (Monument) is a photo series and book of monuments in former Yugoslavia by Jan Kempenaers. These sculptures are located in what are now Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia and Bosnia. They were commissioned to be built in the 60’s and 70’s by Yugoslovian President Tito to showcase the strength of the new Soviet Republic and to commemorate the Second World War.
